| You know who you are, don't you? I haven't forgotten about you, you do know this? You are in my thoughts as always and I will never forget what you mean to me. How can I? I adore you! You make me smile, you make me laugh and above all you make me happy to be someone in your life, and that is what is important. And the occasional lewd behaviors in public also add to the ticket that is totally precious and invaluable. Forever are we binded together because that is what our past has lead us to.

| We've been sitting here and talking about raves and the nyc scene back in the day...yes i just so happen to work with someone from nyc and we're the same age so we know the same thang...and i started getting nostalgic about the dj's that i used to love to hear at raves....Onionz, Adam X, and Micro....and so I started googling...
Ah the old days of that middle am hour hard trance, ie- power hours....Where for at thou...goodness to think i used to dance at a party from 10 until 6 in the morning...dang!

| The results of your analysis say:
You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry. You are a social person who likes to talk and meet others. You are diplomatic, objective, and live in the present. You are a talkative person, maybe even a busybody! You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.
What does your handwriting say about YOU?

| Im going to...
 Thomas Krome...
You are the classic party goer. You take the scene and the music seriously, and probably are a dj. Chances are you know more about the scene and the music than anyone else.
What DJ are you? brought to you by Quizilla
This makes me wonder because I was answering these and trying to think of who the heck I could possibly be, and I'll confess yo, I don't know who the heck I am...but I can relate to that description mostly...The return of Madame Obscura....Im tryin yo. I bought these for about 160$ and Im wondering if I should keep them. I didn't think that I didn't want them until someone said, don't you have something like that? I don't but then I started thinking that perhaps they weren't cute enough to warrant a special visual feeling. Yes Im weird, but this is shoes, and we already know I am weird about shoes. I cannot return them, but merely go back and exchange. I have until Sunday, which means I need to figure it out by tomorrow, because I only have saturday off to do it! Oh the joys of having non consecutive days off...but I hope you are all enjoying the fact that I am just recently employed and blowing money on shoes still. I know this made mindy laugh when i called her and told her. HEE HEE! | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |
| In the other room tunes spit from the tv as the remasterred version of Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer plays about "We're A Couple of Misfits" and it is at this very moment that I am compelled to make that entry that ran through my brain last evening.
10 sensations that are non sexual but damn great...
1) a cool pillow on a warm cheek ( i mean facial cheek ) 2) that warm spot that forms between your back and a sofa cushion 3) a towel wrapped around you that has come fresh from the dryer 4) shower stream lightly falling upon your palms and slightly tickling 5) big time yawn accompanied by an all limb twisting and reaching for dear life stretch 6) the liquor in hot chocolate 7) freshly baked chocolate chip (or peanut butter) cookies and apple pie 8) the moment the rain stops on a middle spring day in the mid atlantic states on the coastline 9) the smell just before it snows 10) the taste of anything barbecued or barbecue styled food
i mean there are more but these are the tops!
i'm sure this should have the obvious follow up list, but let's not get me depressed and reminiscent...i hate that those are memories at this point...i don't need reminding of how long ago that was. shutter * | comments: Leave a comment |
| G r e e t i n g s . E v e r y o n e !

I have good news, so so news and I have bad news.
The good news is that I got a job. Starting monday I will be employed with an income again. Yay! It is completely a 360 from what I was doing. So goodbye graphic design and corporate oppression and hello furniture retail and no desk sitting. I hope can manage all those hours on my feet. I need more flats. :) I also have to buy pants because they told me I need to dress more casual and jeans are not allowed. I only own 2 pairs of non jeans. But I am excited about this. I will be working at EQ3 which does have a store in NYC on 96th st i believe. The website is here.
The so so news is that I must learn to live on a salary much lower than what I was making before, a whole 12,500 less. which is a big deal, but sanity in my brain is a big thing so i won't hold that too much, as I will be getting benefits with this job after 3 months which is a priority, plus you get end of the year bonuses.
The bad news. Well, this is it. I am permanently out here. I don't really know when I will be back in NY at all. Working retail as you all know is a difficult thing to achieve vacations, especially at a stretch of time so it appears that I am finally going to have to accept that my life is now out here. Which means I don't when I will be seeing many of you. So please do what you can to try to visit me. I would love to see you guys when you are able to visit. So I will try to stay positive it just hurts not being able to be in NY for christmas. My mom will be coming out here. (that's not bad, im just saying)
Alright. That's that. Just figured I'd bring you all up to date. Im happy, but its a weird dichotemy of feelings. good with bad. But monstly that's good cuz i need money to live. :)
Cheers. (ps- That chair up there is the Matt Rocker, which I will be buying. Its awesome and super comfy.) | comments: 5 comments or Leave a comment |

I have been away for aquite some time, and that is simply how my life is right now. I apologize to my NY crew for not being around more after I moved, but I am like a looney chicken running around with my head in my hands...Its nuts. My only respit came for a week when I went on a mother daughter holiday to Paris. Even that was full of drama between my mother and I, which I didn't need, but it happens. I ate too much cheese and drank too much wine and champage. Gained about 10 pounds, but fear not I lost it all and then some in the past 2 weeks as I am so poor I cannot afford to buy groceries, so I eat one meal a day, which is a sandwich. I am currently job hunting, but I am not employed yet, and I am looking for mindless retail work only. That said, this holiday season is not looking to be the best for me, but there are more months ahead. I hope that you are all well. My thoughts are for everyone's wellbeing. I need to make a new icon, that one is waaay outdated. | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |
| I've been out of town, but I simply must add that there is a wonderful newly launched Cure site that caters to the discriminating fan that has an inquisitive mind for the data of bootlegs and videos and tv appearances, and detailed info that many of the sites do not have.
It's wonderfully designed, and its a pleasure to have it available. Check it out!

| Well my second halloween out here in oakland rocked. well second, but i should notate that this is my first as a resident, which i cannot entirely claim, because i still have a New York driver's liscense...which doesn't make too much of a difference since im not driving out here...right now, but when i do i will have to get one...of before i get a job, because then i'll need to have that for id...but i have to find one...a job that is, and then acquire the position...so right now, yeah HALLOWEEN!
Went to athena's halloween party saturday and dressed as a 50's mod bop girl...yup not one stich of black this year, i finally did it! supplied music once again and got a bunch of kudos, so that's awesome. went out tonite with athena and muppet to SF at club Cafe Du Nord for their party new wave goth night. they played some good tunes and so so ones. gosh west american folk do love to party and be silly at clubs, and aren't into that east coast isolation dancing...i have to get used to people not giving me my angsty goth 3 feet of space. they played chameleons, i jumped up and danced. they played thriller, athena and muppet jumped up and down and danced. they played everyday is halloween i jumped up and grabbed muppet and we danced. then we left at 1am, and our car was locked in the garage, as in, the gates to the garage were closed (apparently that happens at 12am) and oh yeah, the BART stopped running. so we took a cab. well first we saw a fight on the side walk. but the costumes were awesome!!! sorry NYC i think San Francisco kicks NYC's Halloween Parade. I hate to admit it, but experience it and you'll know why I'm saying that. They adore and embrace pagentry sooooo much more out here!
So here is the DJ set to satisfy everyone at the party. 6 hours of music, of what to DJ when you have no idea who most people are but figure, well you work in animation and are about my age...so it should work!
ATHENA! Cut and paste this text so chris and you have it for the burn I made you.) ( SETLIST!! DAMN GOOD, TOO! ) | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| so against my usual thoughts i have been right.
first off- i never wanted a cell phone and my cell phone has been crapping out everywhere in this apartment. that and im just annoyed with the random service. i guess i should have stuck with ground service.
secondly- i have been rather opposed to IKEA for almost forever, and i decided to buy practically most of my furnishings there. and the cork like substance to the frame of my bed has broken. not even 2 weeks old and while sleepingi heard something give way. there is a 1/2" split in the base of the bed. i thought the morkedal was a great bed visually, but its made like a pice of crap. they better take it back and i'll get a stronger supported bed that's made of real wood and not cork adhered with spit bonds. that and self service is crap. no one helps you lift the shit off the shelves...im in so much pain right now it is beyond me. ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS IF THEY WILL ALLOW ME TO RETURN DAMAGED CRAP?
aside that--- i wasn't thinking so terribly much about going to bauhaus because i hardly listen to them much anymore as i always delve into the obscure stuff, but i went to see them last night, and i have never seen a cooler bunch of folks on stage performing in my life. they play again on halloween out here, which would be rad, but i cannot go. but if you have the chance to see them, please do. and yes, the man called ASH does wear the stripper sunglasses....a fuzzy hat too... | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

I HEART THE SUPER LONGS! which I call Lonqs because the "g" looks like a "q", but it is my favorite drug store in the world. They have everything, but only if you go to the one on Piedmont / Pleasant Valley Road, by the Safeway. Honestly, its huuuuuge. Supposedly its one of the larges drug stores in the country. Im mesmerized by it.
and thank you feet and sneakers for allowing me to make it around town everyday without blisters. I owe you some pampering...and i need more jeans. I HEART MY BAG AND ALL THINGS FOOT COEVRING RELATED!
ps- Thank you grammargirl for hooking me up to ya sister, I had an awesome time the other night, and now I know about panties and cake. CHEERS TO C! We have to do Butter! (and i must find a way to steal your tots shirt!) | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| HOLLAH BACK, IF YA BE IN O-TOWN CALI, YO!
Greetings from Oakland, California. My first post, from the west coast. Well my back is soar, I am really broke, I am unemployed and I have been eating only one meal a day. That's the bad news. The good news is that I am really excited to be here. I have no idea how long I will be here as the weather isn't completely agreeing with me. I am not used to warm weather during the day, and I am hankering to put heavier clothes on and a coat. I am fine once evening rolls around, and the temperature dips to low 60's high 50's but this mid 70's and 80's during the day, I don't really like. But we'll see...I did just get here after all. :)
So I have been painting and decorating and trying to go a bit more feng shui this time around, well I did get rid of a bunch of stuff and I don't want a bunch of stuff, but some things I cannot part with. I'm feeling japanese and indian inspired for my bedroom. I painted it japanese fern and everything I want white, but I want to put in a really orangey scarlet something...just to pop the green even more. I submitted to IKEA, but Im never going back. I was in there for 5 1/2 hours and seriously about to loose my mind and go completely EYE-Talian New Yawkah on just about everyone there....its all just too much to do by yourself.
But I love my patio. Its about 8 x 10, its huuuuuuge. I love that my bedroom window faces into a patio garden, although I'll have to work out the privacy thing a bit more. I love the magazine stand down the street on the main drag we live by, I love the humador by where I live, I love that I can eat any food I want in a 5 minute walk, the gourmet grocery store, the air that smells of peach blossoms and honeysuckle, the rose gardens, AND!!!! the west coast dudes in the low riders with the hip hop blasting out of the cars painted in sparkle reflective rust and magenta with 20" chrome spinners, NIIIIIIICE! I'm going to seriously need more sneakers because its hilly yo! Have to find the PUMA store out here.
Pictures? ok.
My new minimal bedroom. I just simply love sleeping on a marshmellow.
My huuuge patio. Complete with patio set. I love the foliage around it. It is so nice to sit out there and eat or just have a drink.
Well that's it for now. I am still getting through the last issue of Adbusters, and there is a great line in there that I must quote, "...it is like some great crescendo in an ancient orchestral arrangement, ..." —Terry Glavin Ancient Rhythms (i love how that line sounds aloud)
